    How are they rising to meet the challenge?: She has reached out to the community to buy masks for elderly. She takes amazing care of my mom and all of her residents. Even in this time she is always singing and humming to keep everyone happy. No matter what time of the day she is always ready to assist am elderly citizen in the store or at her job.

    How are they rising to meet the challenge?: He is a valuable team player and worked with various different programs to meet the needs of the community and fellow tribal members. He has the community’s best interest at heart and will never look for praise in all the good he does. We are lucky to have him looking out for us all!

    How are they rising to meet the challenge?: Anna has gone above and beyond working to implement the safety of our building. She has worried long hours to ensure the safety of Elders and educating the staff. She has been available day and night for any questions or concerns. We appreciate your hard work!

    How are they rising to meet the challenge?: Billie has been a rock through this she has not only implemented all procedures and plans, she has done it with a positive attitude! She has worked long hours to ensure the safety of the Elders. She has kept the staff informed with all the changes. She has done a great job with the scheduling. Keep it your doing an amazing job!

    Position: Wyoming Life Resource Center and Westward Heights Care Center

    How are they rising to meet the challenge?: Teresa always goes above and beyond for her residents. She has made personal sacrifices in her life to ensure the safety and health of her residents, as well as working countless hours on the clock and on call. She is a phenomenal nurse.

    Where do they work: Wind River Family & Community Health Care

    Position: Public Health Response Coordinator

    How are they rising to meet the challenge?: She started ordering PPE for the Clinics back in November, which has allowed WRFCHC to be prepared for this virus and to perform as well as they are and to be able to test as many people as they have. She is keeping all our essential workers, providers and critical workforce supplied with All PPE needed as well as hand sanitizer. She is also coordinating with outside resources for food, art supplies and incentives to keep stay at home people active.

    How are they rising to meet the challenge?: They have been able to continue to work, in residential houses taking care of residents. Making sure to follow all the CDC GUIDELINES TO INSURE THE SAFETY AND WELL-BEING OF ALL STAFF AND INDIVIDUALS SERVED.

    How are they rising to meet the challenge?: Keeping dental emergencies out of the hospital emergency room.

    Where do they work: Homestead assisted living

    Position: Administrator

    How are they rising to meet the challenge?: Implemented guidelines before COVID was even in Wyoming to keep residents and staff safe. Enacted protocols throughout the last few months making sure all residents and staff are protected. Even as the administrator, she comes to work everyday, making sure staff/residents are taken care of. Staying up to date on current conditions. Going above and beyond for her facility.

    Where do they work: Wind River Family & Community Health Care

    Position: CMO

    How are they rising to meet the challenge?: He has done everything he possibly can for our Wind River Reservation along with our surrounding communities! He goes above and beyond with all he does to protect, serve, and love his County. Not only is he a great leader he is also a Physician whom is risking himself (high risk – over 55) for the better. If it wasn’t for him the steps and measures that have been taken would have not been done. With out him Wind River Cares would be lost.

    Where do they work: Wind River Family Community Health Care

    How are they rising to meet the challenge?: Armando Sanchez with Dr. Carlos Hernandez-Moreno helped implement the system that Wind River Cares is using right now to help with the fight of CoVid19 from their experience in Puerto Rico.

    How are they rising to meet the challenge?: They work very hard at protecting our residents. We clean, disinfect, we screen our staff and residents several times a day. All our staff work long hours with a smile to keep everyone safe.

    Where do they work: SageWest in Riverton

    Position: Radiology Tech

    How are they rising to meet the challenge?: He is the only RT in Riverton that can do ultrasounds so he is working full time and is on call 24/7 until this crisis is over.

    Where do they work: Wind River Rehab and wellness

    Position: Director of Nursing

    How are they rising to meet the challenge?: Kerry has stepped up to the challenge of covid 19. Between scheduling, educating staff on precautions, numerous conference calls and steps to preventing covid! With all of that, as well as doing her daily job requirements, she has stepped into working on the floor at all hours of the night or day. And through all of this she has stayed calm and held the facility together.

    How are they rising to meet the challenge?: Kerry has not once given up on her team, she has worked numerous hours and is always on top of all the changing policies. Kerry has never stopped rooting for her team and had kicked the COVID crisis’ @$$! She has always been willing to work day or night on the floor including all of her daily duties. She never makes you fell like you’re below her and is at the level of the entire facility! She is the reason we are so successful!

    How are they rising to meet the challenge?: They are risking their lives for the sake of the patients.

    Where do they work: Sage West Lander Hospital

    Position: Respiratory Therapist

    How are they rising to meet the challenge?: RTs are unsung medical heroes with a crucial role at this time. Shane has been a RT for 10 years and says he’s never experienced anything as stressful as this pandemic-having to work on-call, pulling extra shifts and working non-stop without breaks. He assesses the patients and recommends what treatments or additional testing are needed, as well as maintaining the ventilators. He is busy! Add to that trying to avoid bringing germs home to his family, and staying positive through it all.

    How are they rising to meet the challenge?: Jo graciously answers questions of people calling in and refers them to the proper resources within the county. Sometimes calls can be overwhelming and crazy. Jo stays kind and composed through it all.
